In commercial development since 2014; the first companies that mattered were American. At TaxDome we took the product from zero to its first $3M in revenue. Since 2017 I have run MAXA as CTO, and most of the people on this team I hired myself. I also run the first call with a client myself: I open the codebase and say honestly whether we are a fit. I build long, honest relationships with clients: if I see a risk, I say so before the start, not after.
Six years of software engineering at university and two years of postgraduate study in information security, then ten years on one product. The second turned out to be more useful than the first, but there would be no second without the first.

I've been on this codebase long enough to remember why every weird decision was made. Most of them were right at the time. My job now is to notice when they stop being right, and to teach the newer folks to see it too.
